Rehearsals

In the tradition of the theater, all dancers are expected to graciously accept the part in which they are cast. If you find that you (or your child) are unable to participate in The Nutcracker because of the schedule, please contact one of the rehearsal directors as soon as possible.

Important Notes

Please Note:

For parents of dancers, you must attend one (1) MANDATORY parent meeting. The meeting will be at the NCADA studio. There are two (2) meeting times to choose from: September 12th at 12:30 pm or September 19th at 12:30 pm. At the meeting you will sign your dancer’s contract and pay the dancer fees. Dancers do not need to be present at the parent meeting.
Costume fittings are scheduled on September 26th and 27th and October 3rd and 4th and are MANDATORY. If you absolutely cannot attend, please inform your rehearsal director as soon as possible to make other arrangements. The fittings will take place at NCADA Studio; check the schedule below for the time and place of your fitting. Please wear tights and leotards (girls), or black shorts and white shirts (boys). Missing any costume fittings is a reason for dismissal.

Because we have a short time frame in which to rehearse, we ask that you not be absent from any rehearsals or costume fittings. Any absences need to be cleared with your Rehearsal Director. Three (3) absences are reason for dismissal. Dancers who are out of town during Thanksgiving weekend need to notify your Rehearsal Director. Please consider this one of your absences.

(NCADA) Northern Colorado Academy of Dance Arts Studio: 980 37th Ave Ct, Greeley, CO 80634.

(UCCC) Union Colony Civic Center: 701 10th Ave. Enter through the backstage door on 11th Ave.
Parking is in the UCCC lot, Senior Center lot or on the street. DO NOT PARK in the lot outside the
Backstage Door – this is for staff only, and is a fire lane. You may use this lot for drop off and pick up only, but do not leave your car unattended. All cast members must sign in and out at ALL rehearsals and
performances at this location. Children 12 years and under must be signed in and out by an adult.
